Galli Two Fantasies for two flutes and piano

Two newly discovered pieces for two flutes and piano by Raffaello Galli. Galli, who was principal flute at La Scala Milan, wrote around 400 works for flute, most of which have been long since lost. This carefully revised edition revives two of the most charming of these forgotten works: Una Sera in Mare, which combines virtuoso passage work for both players with delightful Neapolitan style melodies; and La Sonnambula, a fantasy on melodies from Bellini’s opera. A sparkling addition to the repertoire and an ideal concert alternative to the better known Doppler duos.
