DIVERTISSEMENT OP. 91 FOR TWO FLUTES AND ALTO FLUTE by CHARLES KOECHLIN

Koechlin Divertissement Op. 91 for two flutes and alto flute is a beautiful and rarely heard work of French chamber music, composed around 1924 and first performed in Paris in 1937 by Marcel Moyse and colleagues. Flowing melodic writing explores the expressive colours of all three flutes before a brilliant finale.

The original published parts contained numerous errors, which made the work difficult to perform with confidence. This award-winning Aurea Capra edition of Koechlin Divertissement Op. 91 provides a comprehensively revised and corrected full score with individual performance parts included in a digital package, making this remarkable flute trio accessible to performers once again.

In three movements:

  • 1. Très calme
  • 2. Allegretto quasi Andante
  • 3. Final
