Are you looking for funeral music for flute?

Recently we launched our new Flutes in Faith series of books designed for flutists who play in church or who are looking for something beautiful to play at a funeral, wedding, or other life ceremony. These arrangements are inspired by both John’s and my own love for, and deep experience of, church music.

If you’ve been invited to play at a funeral, if you’re a flutist who plays in church, or if you just love a gorgeous melody, these books are full of music to soothe the soul.

The music is gorgeous and the accompaniments are arranged to work equally well for piano or organ. If you don’t have an accompanist available, you can also download the backing tracks recorded by John, making them really useful.

Music for Reflection and Contemplation

Still as the Night (Flutes in Faith 2: Hear My Prayer) is a collection full of ideal funeral music for flute. It’s also perfect for musical moments of quiet reflection during church services, as well as for occasions like the signing of the register during a wedding.

Containing a generous selection of music by Bach, Purcell, Festing, Mozart, Massenet, Mendelssohn, Fauré, Franck and more, this is, as one recent reviewer put it: “Music to soothe the soul!” (Chris Hankin, Just Flutes).

In the US, this book is titled Hear My Prayer (Flutes in Faith vol. 2) and in the UK it is titled Still as the Night. But don’t worry – the content of both is the same.
