The foundations of flute technique are grounded in long tradition. For flutists, every good technique book will cover the core elements of tone development, finger dexterity, variety and ease of articulation, and legato intervals. In my last post, I looked at the latest research on effective practice and the three top tips for success.

Micro Etudes: Melodic technique exercises for daily practice (by Elisabeth Parry), was written specifically to create flute technique routines and warm-ups which  use methods for proven effective practice.
